Organic Polyester Productions (OPP), founded by Everett Kelsey in 2004, represents the creative bedrock from which BLKMKT Media would later emerge. Born from the traditional Hollywood studio system, OPP was Kelsey's first major venture as a filmmaker—a boutique production company dedicated to atmospheric, character-driven, and psychologically layered storytelling. It served as both a launchpad for his directing debut and a vehicle through which Kelsey navigated the industry as a writer, actor, and producer with a distinct auteur voice.

Over the years, Organic Polyester established a reputation for its genre-blending scripts and its embrace of marginalized perspectives, artistic risk, and narrative complexity. It was a platform for building craft and credibility, but more importantly, for developing a storytelling ethos centered on truth, contradiction, and cultural introspection.

In 2020, that ethos evolved into BLKMKT Media, a media-tech consultancy and storytelling company born in response to the urgent need for ethical storytelling and representation in an increasingly algorithmic, AI-driven world. Where Organic Polyester was rooted in traditional filmmaking, BLKMKT Media was founded to reimagine storytelling for the streaming, data, and artificial intelligence age. 

Their relationship is symbiotic:
